What is a Fitted Hugger Comforter?
Unlike standard “off-the-shelf” comforters and duvets that drape loosely over the sides of a bed, our specialized huggers are custom-made to match your mattress dimensions perfectly. This unique design keeps beds looking neat, tidy, and organized while making bed-making incredibly easy.
Key Features:
-
Two Tailored Boxed Corners: Expertly sewn with fitted, boxed corners at the foot end of the bed, giving the mattress a sleek, high-end look that beautifully showcases the bed frame.
-
No Zippers Required: This tailored look is achieved entirely through custom stitching and boxed cornersāno zippers or complicated closures to worry about.
-
Customized Side Drop: The side drop is cut precisely to match your specific mattress depth, ensuring a perfect fit with absolutely no messy overhang or excess fabric to get tangled in.
-
Premium Three-Layer Construction: Built for durability and comfort using high-quality designer fabrics and a premium three-layer quilted design:
-
Top Layer: 100% cotton print fabric.
-
Fill: A cozy layer of poly-fill that provides excellent warmth, rarely requiring an extra blanket.
-
Reverse Layer: A smooth poly-cotton blended broadcloth.
-
-
Completely Reversible: Finished beautifully on both sides, making the comforter fully reversible.
💡 Designer Tip: Want ultimate versatility? You can reverse this comforter to another solid color! Click here to view all [Reverse Solid Color Options]. This fairytale print looks gorgeous when paired with a colorful bed skirt that matches one of the vibrant colors in the print, or even a coordinating pattern like polka dots. Because this print is perfect for younger girls, completing the look with a shaped rainbow pillow, a unicorn accent pillow, or textured soft pillows will make the space extra magical.
Ideal Applications
Because it hugs the mattress tightly without hanging fabric, this modern alternative comforter is exceptionally practical and safe for:
-
Bunk Beds & Loft Beds (elevated beds are safer without loose, draping bedding)
-
Platform Beds, Captain’s Beds, and Kid’s Beds
-
Daybeds & Trundles (Note: We can tailor all 4 corners for specialized daybed applications!)
-
Traditional Beds: To use on a bed with a box spring, you can order the hugger to fit the top mattress alone and pair it with a bed skirt, OR measure the cumulative depth of both mattresses (e.g., 16″) so the hugger covers both perfectly.

A Note About Our Product Images
Because we work with high-quality designer fabrics that come and go frequently, professional photography of every single pattern variation on a physical bed frame is not always possible.
Our product images typically feature a standard visualization model to display the fabric pattern accurately and to scale. While visualization models may appear slightly flat or unquilted, please note that your finished, custom-ordered unicorn hugger will arrive with a beautifully quilted top to securely hold the three internal layers together and add rich, premium texture.
