  • What is the difference between a bed cap and a hugger?

    Bunk Bed Caps and Bunk Bed Huggers are really the same thing- just different names for fitted comforters. It all boils down to what the manufacturer chooses to call them. They may be made a little differently from manufacturer to manufacturer but they give an overall fitted look to the mattress. Most are meant to cover one mattress without excess bedding draping below so that makes them perfect for bunk or loft beds. They are also perfect for captain’s beds with drawers below or platform beds. They even look lovely on a traditional bed showing off the bed frame as opposed to hiding it under covers.

    You just need to be aware of the side drop when planning how you will use them. If they are only covering one mattress, make sure you measure the depth and allow for adequate coverage of the mattress. If they are covering two mattresses (mattress and box spring) as on a traditional bed, you can order an extra long side drop to cover both mattresses or use the one standard hugger on the top mattress with a bed skirt on the bottom.

    Use your imagination to discover the many possibilities with this unique type of bedding. You will have a more fitted appearance as opposed to flowing type covers. Some huggers/bed caps have two elastic corners at the foot of the bed and some have two tailored corners at the foot of the bed. The tailored corner is usually finished on both sides making that hugger completely reversible. You pay a little more for a tailored corner but you are getting two huggers in one with a few more options such as choosing the reverse color or print. The type of corner is often a matter of preference by the customer so if you are unsure when ordering, call us for guidance.

  • Why does the product name say hugger when a full bed of regular comforters and pillows are shown?

    We have a very limited number of images showing actual huggers however we offer huggers in every fabric we show on the site. Our purpose in showing what we do is to give you an idea of what that fabric will look like on a bed. In some cases, we only show the fabric as a sham or even a swatch. Then, you really have to use your imagination but we are confident that you will love our bedding!

  • Which credit cards or forms of payment do you accept?

    Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, PayPal and E-Checks. We also offer PayPal Pay Later which gives you the opportunity to pay for your order over 6 months. You should see that option at checkout.

  • Do I have to pay sales tax?

    Only Pennsylvania residents are subject to sales tax when purchasing from Check with your state laws to see if you need to report sales tax on your online purchases.

  • How do I place an order?

    The quickest way to order is by using our secure, online cart and checkout. Due to the custom nature of some of our products, we often need to clarify information on an order and we may give you a call to do that. Phone orders will also be accepted. You will receive an order confirmation as soon as you click the “Place Order” button. Review all that information on the order confirmation for accuracy as we input orders quickly once they are received. If you notice an error, call us as soon as possible to correct it.

  • When will my credit card be charged?

    Due to the custom nature of our bedding and the quick shipping of most of our beds, credit cards are usually verified and charged at the time of the order or within 24 hours.

  • How will my personal information be used?

    Personal information will only be used to process your order. We do offer customer accounts which allow you to store some personal information on our secure site but we never give that out to third parties. It is for your convenience only.

  • Are finish/colors accurate?

    We do our best to show the products as accurately as possible but due to variations in photography, computer monitors, certain prints, and lighting, we can’t guarantee that the finish/color will be exactly as it is shown. Imperfections in grain, color, and sheen may occur naturally. If an exact color/finish match is essential, it is probably better not to order online. Even with the swatches we can send out, there is no guarantee that colors will be the same from dye lot to dye lot. If you select a hunter green, it will be a hunter green but maybe not an exact match to what you see on the computer.

  • Do beds include mattresses and bedding?

    No. Unless specified, mattresses, bedding, and even additional pillows are shown to enhance the image but they are not included.

  • What does shipping cost?

    We offer FREE curbside shipping on all furniture.  You may upgrade that to the first dry area of your residence at an additional cost.  If you need a higher level of delivery such as white glove, we can assist in that.  Often, we will give you contact information for a company so you will be able to contact them directly. You will need to sign for furniture deliveries.

    Our bedding and smaller items ship UPS or FEDEX and shipping is FREE on orders over $99. Signature is not usually required for these items unless you personally request it or due to some historical problems with deliveries to that area, we initiate it.

  • Do you ship overseas?

    At this time, we only ship to the continental United States. We have delivered outside the continental United States and will consider all inquiries but you will need to contact us for a shipping quote. We do not offer free shipping outside the continental United States and any return shipping must be paid by the customer too.

  • Can I ship one order to multiple addresses?

    We can do this but there may be an additional charge of $10.00 per address.

  • What happens if I place an order and it is out of stock?

    You will be notified as soon as we are aware of the stock situation. You may choose to cancel the order and receive a refund or you may choose to be placed in a queue to receive the first stock as it becomes available. Occasionally with our bedding a fabric will take longer than usual to source or it may be out of stock. In situations like this, we try to keep you abreast of the situation and then let you decide whether you want to wait, change the order, or receive a refund.

  • When will I receive my purchases?

    Most in stock items such as beds ship quickly. Delivery is dependent on your address, the particular freight company and your level of delivery. So the furniture can deliver in as little as 7-10 days or it can take 2-3 weeks. The bedding is mostly custom made and will ship within 2-3 weeks with few exceptions. Delivery can take form 1-5 days once shipped.

  • When are deliveries scheduled?

    You do need to be present to sign for furniture deliveries except in the case of smaller items that will come UPS or FedEx. We send out the tracking information from the freight companies but we caution you to contact them or wait for them to contact you to set up a delivery appointment. This can vary quite a bit but don’t rely on the estimated delivery information you find with the tracking number. It is just a general idea of where the shipment is and you should be in contact with the freight company to set up the appointment.

  • What level of shipping is free?

    Basic, standard, curbside shipping is free for furniture. It is no frills. The boxes come weather proofed and placed in front of your home. You will be responsible to take the boxes in your home with this level of shipping. If you upgrade to first dry area of your home, two delivery men will place the cartons in your first dry area. It’s not a whole lot of frills either but it get the carton to a safe place at your residence. All other products (bedding and accessories) ship for free on orders over $99.00.
